Environmental impact is something we are all very aware of today.

The sweeping industry has missed its mark by concentrating on converting street sweepers to natural gas or propane. These converted street sweepers are not parking lot sweepers. West Coast Maintenance, Inc. has invested in the new "Green Sweeper" technology developed by Masco Sweepers.

The environmental footprint left by Masco Model 1600 is 75% less than a converted street sweeper. Fuel consumption, oil maintenance, wear on tires and brakes, wear on roads and paved surfaces, emissions, financial burden, and general cost to the client are reduced by 75%.

From a "GREEN" point of view, operating a Street Sweeper converted to alternate fuel may be helpful for a street sweeping application. However, Parking Lot Sweeping does not benefit from alternate fuel application. Smaller gas engine trucks, operating with the Masco model 1600 and the fuel efficient gas auxiliary motor emits only a quarter of emissions, one third the oil maintenance, one third of the weight impact on a parking structure, and one third the dust emissions because of the newly developed dust control system. Environmentally the Masco Model 1600 sweeper is the most efficient sweeper in terms of impact on the environment. There is no "GREENER" parking lot sweeper on the market today. The Masco Model 1600 sweeper exceeds the EPA guidelines by using innovative technology from Masco Sweepers, Inc.

West Coast Maintenance, Inc. has incorporated GPS tracking as part of our service to our clients to insure the location, duration, running time of vehicle as well as on board equipment.

The FleetMatics GPS Reporting Suite includes a variety of powerful management tools we use to accurately control and monitor our vehicle fleet.

We specify acceptable threshold limits when tracking our vehicles with GPS including work hours, idling times, speed and mileage. All exceptions to these limits are flagged throughout the reporting suite allowing us to instantly identify and rectify inefficiencies.

The management reports can be run on the fly or scheduled to run automatically with the results emailed to any number of recipients on a daily or weekly basis.

With the FleetMatics Reporting Suite, we have complete control of the management and costs of our fleet.

Daily Report

The daily report provides information on the daily movement of any vehicle. Data includes: ignition on-time, ignition off-time, arrival and departure of locations, idling time, drive time, and distance traveled. We use this report to detect improper vehicle usage, problematic driving behaviors and actual working hours on any given day for a specific vehicle.

Detailed Report

The detailed report provides the minute-by-minute GPS location of any vehicle. Data includes: location of vehicle throughout the entire day, engine-on times, idling time, drive time, distance traveled and costs of operating vehicle. We use this report to detect inefficient routing, pinpoint exact vehicle locations throughout the day and investigate questionable driving times.

Idling Report

The idling report provides true idling times (when ignition is on and vehicle is not moving) for every vehicle in your fleet. Data includes: idle start and stop times, location of idling, total idling time and alerts when idle times exceed threshold. We use this report to minimize idle times, reduce fuel usage, improve routing and decrease engine wear.

Hours Worked Report

The hours worked report provides information on actual hours a vehicle is in operation and can be used as an electronic timesheet. Data includes: daily actual start and finish times, hours worked, days worked, average daily hours and weekly totals. We use this report to record accurate work hours, improve back office efficiencies and eliminate payroll disputes.

Red Flag Report

The red flag report allows us to instantly recognize when and where a vehicle has exceeded a specified speed threshold. Data includes: date, time and location of occurrence, along with exact speed traveled. We use this report to detect problematic driving behavior, improve safety and reduce liability.

Location Report

This report provides information on how long your vehicles spend at a specified point of interest (POI). Data includes: identity of vehicle at POI, arrival time, departure time and alerts when time spent at any POI exceeds threshold. This GPS report increases productivity, tightens controls and implements best management practices.
